Description: This image depicts a Michigan Home Products Marketing Association Booth, offering a diverse selection of fresh and locally grown products to consumers. This was a new phenomenon brought about by an increase in funding from Congress in 1930. The women were assigned these retail positions because she couldn't do anything with "too much time and labor being involved, for her major duties are those of homemaking". While sexist, this was a good step of progress giving women autonomy to operate the products booths.
