Subjects: People, Students, Presidents, Campus, Buildings, East Lansing, Studies and Programs
Description: A digitization of a VHS videocassette transfer from a 16mm reel of film. A production outlining the on-campus educational facilities of Michigan State College (MSC), Postmark East Lansing was produced by the Jam Handy Organization of Detroit with cameraman George Leontough, assistant Jack Tipping, MSC college news editor Alvie L. Smith serving as coordinator, and starring students Barbara Tanner Bailey '49 and James W. Hale '51.

This film was done in the format of a letter home from an MSC student to a younger brother, describing the college and its student body. It features speeches by President John A. Hannah, and shows campus buildings, including Old Wells Hall, Fairchild Auditorium, Shaw Hall, and Quonset huts (used as married housing at the time). Another interesting feature is the footage of the President's Office (in Linton Hall) and of a student dormitory room.
