Description: Three cars, a group of five men, and an overhead cable can be seen in front of the numerous pines composing the Beal Pinetum. A sign in the lower left indicates that Professor Beal planted the pines in 1896 and includes a caution regarding fire. The image is from the Alfred P. Cannon Collection. Cannon was a forestry student at The Ohio State University and took the photo during a visit to MSU. The photograph is courtesy of the Cannon family.
