Description: Recording of an interview with Dr. and Mrs. Wharton, followed by the September 1982 dedication of the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts. The dedication is led by MSU President M. Cecil Mackey, who acknowledges the presence of past MSU Presidents Dr. Edgar Harden, Dr. Walter Adams, and Dr. John A. Hannah. Mrs. Wharton and then Dr. Wharton each give speeches expressing their gratitude, and are then given the prestigious Crystal Clef award for their dedication to music.
