Description: A recording of the Fall 1962 commencement address given by Dr. Samuel Miller Brownell, Superintendent of Public Schools, Detroit. The recording begins with the MSU Band under the direction of Leonard Falcone performing the Academic Processional by Williams. The invocation is given by The Reverend Edward A. Roth. Dr. Brownell is then introduced by President John A. Hannah, and his address is delivered in the MSU Auditorium.
