Description: This photograph shows a view of the Horticultural building, know called Eustace-Cole Hall. The text on the back of the photograph reads: "At left Horticultural bldg, built under direction of Dr. Liberty Hyde Bailey when he was head of Hort Dept. Here and previous to his going to Cornell in 1882. Work room and greenhouses south and east of Hort Bldg were first ones in campus used for experimental purposes - Site of present Bacteriology building. This written Nov. 10, 1940." This photo was taken prior to 1902, when the Bacteriology lab (Marshall-Adams Hall) was built.
