Description: A crowd of 3,800 fill Wharton Center's Great Hall to watch a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance ceremony, honoring those killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks. The Greater Lansing Symphony Orchestra performs under the baton of Gustav Meier, and MSU President M. Peter McPherson and religious leaders of different faiths speak on stage and light candles.
