Description: By the 1920’s the use of electricity rose in popularity becoming the core of the engineering classes. The construction of the North Power Plant, now the site directly in front of the Administration Building, in 1921 and a brand new power house completed in 1924 allowed for central steam heating throughout campus and increased electrical production.

This photograph is a later image of the plant dating from the 1960's.
