Description: This photograph shows thousands of fans watching action during an MSU vs. Notre Dame football game on November 19, 1966. The text on the back of the image reads: "HC-59," "Michigan State fullback Reggie Cavender (25) hurtles past the Notre Dame defensive forward wall on his way to an 11-yard gain to the Irish 9-yard line early in the second quarter of the 1966 game which ended in a 10-10 tie. Three plays later Cavender blasted over from the four-yard line to give MSU a 6-0 lead. Lunging and missing Cavender is Irish linebacker Dave Martin (56) while halfback Jim Smithberger (25) prepares to make the tackle.
