Description: This photograph is a copy of a poster from the 1912 M.A.C. Carnival with a list of rules. The text on the front reads: "Ground Rules M.A.C. Carnival, 1912" " 1. Farmers driving in are requested to tie their little hoss outside. 2. Anyone caught rifling the gun rooms will be summarily dealt with by the police. 3. Don't shout and be boisterous; act as though you were in the privacy of your own home. 4. Love one another, but remember--there's a time for everything. 5. Don't report your grievance to the Manager. He's a sick man. 6. Don't flirt--cursed be the flirter. 7. Girls: -- To remove confetti, take your hair off and shake well. 8. Beware of sandbaggers. There have been several base hits made about the campus lately that have foiled even our wil(l)y police. 9. Don't mind the cold and haughty gaze--get out by the fur tree and warm up again. 10. Don't start a racket. Remember, you aren't on the tennis court. 11. Never mind the heat-- we are expecting drafts from outside. 12. Don't feed peanuts to the elephant-- Fat won't stand for it lately. 13. Don't try to make dates with the chorus girls. How would you like to have someone run off with your brother? 14. Girls, loosen up a little. It's the style this year. 15. Patrons may leave parcels in the box office. Try to leave something that we can use. 16. Please refrain from making voluntary fruit donations to the actors. Such acts might cause jealousy on the part of the other actors and break up the show."
