Description: This photograph is in a scrapbook of pictures put together by international student Onn Mann Liang while he was in the U.S. between 1922 and 1932. This picture was taken while Liang was working as a bridge designer for the Michigan State Highway Department. Liang was recognized for his photography skills and even opened a studio in Lansing; this image is labelled in his scrapbook as "A Photographic Study," and it shows a number of books, apples, and an ukulele surrounding what appears to be a bust of Liang himself.
