Description: Women students attend a cooking class in Abbot Hall, circa 1896. The back reads, "Miss McDermott with 1st class in Abbot." Edith McDermott (standing between the two rows of tables) was the first professor of Domestic Economy and Household Science at M.A.C. The co-ed on the far left is Irma Thompson (Class of 1900).
