Title: President's house is completed

Description: Construction of the President's home, #1 Faculty Row, was completed in 1874. It was located near the top of Beal Street Hill, then known as "President's Hill." It stood on the site where the west end of Gilchrist Hall now stands. The home later served as a senior women's dorm, the College Hospital until 1940 when Olin Health Center was built, and a home economics practice house. It was razed in 1946.
