  • 1900 - Construction of Women's Building on campus
  • 1901 - Maude Gilchrist becomes first dean of the Women's Department
  • 1901 - The Wolverine becomes the name of the College yearbook
  • February 7, 1901 - Dedication of the First Dairy Bulding
  • August 28, 1901 - Department of Forestry authorized.
  • 1902 - First education course
  • 1902 - Forestry program added.
  • 1902 - Master's Program in Civil Engineering established
  • 1902 - Senior Engineering Society organized
  • 1903 - Bacteriology Building (Marshall-Adams Hall) built
  • 1904 - William O. Thompson becomes the college's first black graduate
  • 1907 - George Bissel is appointed as the first Dean of Engineering.
  • 1907 - Semi-centennial of the Dedication of the College
  • May 31, 1907 - Myrtle Craig is the College's first black female graduate
  • May 31, 1907 - Theodore Roosevelt delivered Commencement Address at Semi-Centennial celebration of College's dedication.
  • 1908 - Engineering Building is dedicated.
  • 1908 - First undefeated football season for M.A.C.
  • 1909 - The Holcad student newspaper begins weekly publication
  • June 2, 1909 - Name of College changes to Michigan Agricultural College
  • October 21, 1909 - Division of Veterinary Medicine authorized.
  • November 13, 1909 - Four Divisions established: Agriculture, Engineering, Home Economics, Science and Letters.
