Title: Library-Museum (Linton Hall) Constructed
Description: The long-sought Library-Museum was built in 1881. It is a classic old building with distinctive spire, and housed the president's office. Today it is often photographed from the west because of the picturesque view across a sweeping lawn and walkways. Located inside Circle Drive West, the building is named after Robert S. Linton, long-time Registrar of the university. Linton Hall was enlarged after World War II and was home to President John A. Hannah's office and Board Room until 1968, when the Hannah Administration Building was completed.
